Cataverse MVP - just a demo for now

Cataverse MVP is an offline battle royale, where 300 feral cats vote for their next MVP as a way to sustain their democratic, moneyless, meritocratic society. 

Teams are based around ethico-aesthetic paradigms chosen via a short quiz, with each member hurling insults rooted in their developmental stage of social maturation. The game's narrative and mechanics revolve around ascending the society's class structure, where altitude reflects social status, progression, and health—falling into the sea means a roguelike death reset. 

Defeated opponents become loyal followers, high ranking leaders herd cats together in large-scale gang warfare. The game’s minimalist interface was inspired by the simplicity of "Elden Ring", with 3D UI elements like in "Dead Space". Combat interaction is similar to "Super Smash Bros", designed around martial arts principles of timing, range, poise, and position. 

The control scheme is just 2 buttons and 2 directional inputs, with no RPG elements or save files. Philosophically, the game is about leadership and subliminally communicates a conceptual tool called "trialectics" in which value judgements are abstracted into 3 mutually incompatible ideals, as incepted through the personality quiz, the powers of 3 motif, and the way the AI emotes and acts in response to their material conditions.
